Lake Lagunitas - Corte Madera California Hikes

Lagunitas is one of five wonderful lakes within the Mount Tamalpais watershed. Trails connect Lagunitas to Bon Tempe, Alpine, and Kent Lakes to the northwest, and Phoenix Lake to the northeast. Lake Lagunitas is the best bet for a peaceful walk in the woods. The lake is shrouded in a forest of redwood, fir, oak, bay, and madrone. The walk is easy and relatively flat, and follows the lakeshore. Hikers share the wide trail with bikes and horses. Watershed activities include walking, picnicking, biking, and bird watching. There is a small fee.
