West Fork Trail - Sedona Arizona Hikes

The West Fork Trail is among Arizona's most popular trails. Located in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, this near level trail parallels the West Fork of Oak Creek, a major tributary of Oak Creek. The trail follows a deep, narrow, vertical side canyon with frequent stream crossings. Plan on getting your feet wet. This spectacular, lush wooded canyon has steep colorful, exposed sandstone walls towering hundreds of feet above the trail. There is a diverse selection of exotic flora and fauna. The variety of large trees include ash, cottonwood, fir, maple, oak, pine, and walnut.
