A 1-mile loop day hike past historic buildings and a large hot spring on the banks of the Rio Grande. Be sure to look closely for painted pictographs on the cliff walls just past the motel units. Various Indian groups lived in and traveled through the area long before the Langfords and other settlers arrived. The trail passes through a short, shady thicket of mesquite, reeds, and other plants before it opens out onto a ledge above the river. The trail follows rock ledges between cliffs above and the river below a short distance to the foundation of the old bathhouse. The springs still gush out 105-degree water, filling the foundation and creating a popular natural hot tub.
