The East Portal Trailhead is run by Larimer County Parks and Recreation and is a nice little park secret. From here, you can access Glacier Basin, the Glacier Creek Trail, the Storm Pass Trail, the Wind River Trail, Emerald Mountain, and two unofficial summits. The loop featured here is a great hike to do if you want to be close to the town of Estes Park, but away from the crowds.
