A shorter day hike to pretty and serene, cliff-encompassed Lake Louise (8,600 feet). Overnight camping is an enjoyable option. The lake offers excellent fishing in a deep lake. A hot fire charred the valley above this lake in 1976, and the natural forest regeneration is interesting to witness. The hike is located approximately 14 miles southeast of Dubois, in the northeast section of the Wind River Range.
