Cascade Canyon to Lake Solitude - Moose Wyoming Hikes

Lake Solitude is a gorgeous high mountain lake at the head of the North Fork of Cascade Canyon. The 50- acre lake sits in a glacial depression at an elevation of 9,035 feet. It is ringed by scoured mountain walls in a stunning cirque. The trail climbs up the North Fork of Cascade Canyon, in the heart of the Tetons, through sub-alpine forests, talus slopes, and meadows filled with wild flowers. Throughout the hike are magnificent views of the Cathedral Group: Teewinot Mountain, Mount Owen, and Grand Teton.
