Thacher Park and Indian Ladder Trail - Voorheesville New York Hikes

A narrow catwalk trail beneath the cliffs of the world’s oldest exposed surface limestone, with extending trails along the Helderberg escarpment. Excellent for families. Indian Ladder and the Thacher Park trail system offers a variety of short walks and activities, best enjoyed along with a picnic at one of the park’s immaculate scenic recreation areas along the Helderberg Escarpment. By far the most interesting of these walks are the Indian Ladder Trail and its more recent extension to the north.
