Suppose during the night, a strong high-pressure system has blown in from northern Canada. There is not a cloud in the sky. While the Presidential Range is tempting, venturing that high above tree line would require dealing with unrelenting winds. A perfect solution is a nearby hike to a more protected location that offers one of the region’s most impressive views.
