Crawford Notch Campground

Unspecified • 0 mi • 0 ft

Nestled within the wilderness of Crawford Notch, the campground of the same name is a perfectly peaceful spot to pitch your tent— whether you’ve come to Crawford Notch for the climbing, hiking, fishing, or just sitting and watching the Saco River. The Crawford Notch Campground is meticulously maintained, with a clean, sandy surface on the roads leading throughout the campground and at the individual sites. A dense forest of mostly young maples and beech covers the campground. The deciduous forest imparts a brilliant, shimmering green character to the forest, especially when all the leaves are backlit by the sun. The dense forest also gives most of the sites a marvelous sense of seclusion. There are many sites here located on or near the shores of the Saco River, and these are by far the most spectacular.
