Whetstone Gulf State Park - Lowville New York Hikes

Two day hikes explore the geology and flora of Whetstone Gulf. One promises to get your feet wet. Special Attractions: Whetstone Creek, dramatic sandstone-shale cliffs, an overlook platform, fossils, falls, and wildflowers. Fee access to Park. Hikers are to be off the trail by 6pm; no one may start a hike after 3pm. The Gorge Trail should be reserved for times of low water.
