East Branch Ausable River Loop - Lake Placid New York Hikes

Within a private Adirondack reserve, this rolling tour travels the east and west shores of a pristine river drainage, with side trips to an overlook and waterfall. Special Attractions: old-growth hemlocks, overlooks and valley floor vistas, scenic river and side brooks, waterfalls. All hikers entering the reserve must register. No pets, fires, camping, or bicycles on Lake Road, and only reserve members may fish or swim. The reserve has protected this site since 1897, so do your part. Visitors must park away from Ausable Club and not block the area road with shuttle drop-offs and pick-ups.
