Bruno’s Run Loop - Munising Michigan Hikes

Bruno’s Run is a loop trail that has a pleasant rhythm about it. It goes like this. Walk a mile or so through fine forest. The terrain is sometimes rolling with hills, but it is not grueling. All the while scan for flashy pileated woodpeckers and other forest delights. Then arrive at a quiet lakeshore and enjoy loons, eagles, breezes, and broad vistas. Repeat the lake rhythm seven times. Ditto the forest part, and throw in an ancient hemlock cathedral for good measure. Did I mention passing clear-running streams several times and enjoying an abundance of peace and quiet? Highlights: Undeveloped lakes, an ancient hemlock grove, quiet forest, and river.
