Hinckley Lake to Whipps Ledges Trail Loop - Brunswick Ohio Hikes

Hinckley Reservation is one of the best known in the Cleveland Metropark system. The reservation gets its fifteen minutes of fame every year with the return of the buzzards. For locals its 25 miles of trails are just as popular. Try a 6.7-mile loop around Hinckley Lake (a reservoir created by damming the East Branch Rocky River) and continue on the Buckeye Trail to Whipps Ledges, an area of 40-foot-high Sharon conglomerate rock ledges. In the meantime enjoy views of the lake, lakeside birds, wildflowers, and forest.
