Lakeview and Boundary Trails at Salamonie Reservoir - Huntington Indiana Hikes

This is a loop hike of two trails that leads through meadows, over ravines, and along bluffs overlooking Salamonie Reservoir. Both the Lakeview and Boundary trails are part of the larger 22-mile Salamonie Snowmobile Trail, but they are also designated for hikers. The trails form a loop along the south side of the reservoir, a flood-control impoundment of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The surrounding land, however, is managed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR). The reservoir extends 17 miles during summer months. Special Attractions: the bluffs.
