Ouabache State Park - Bluffton Indiana Hikes

This is a combination of park trails forming a perimeter loop through reforested sections in various stages of regrowth. The area around Ouabache State Park was once the home of Miami Indians, whose villages flanked the banks of the nearby Wabash River. Ouabache is the French Jesuit spelling of the Miami pronunciation of Wabash, but most people today mispronounce it “Oh-BA-chee.” Special Attractions: a small herd of bison kept in a 20-acre pen.
