Little Calumet River Trail, Bailly Homestead, and Chellberg Farm - Chesterton Indiana Hikes

This loop hike begins near the historic Bailly Homestead, continues along the Little Calumet River through marsh and meadow, and concludes at the Chellberg Farm. These days the Bailly site, which is designated a national historic landmark, includes the main house, kitchen/chapel, a two-story cabin, a brick house, and a fur-trading cabin. Volunteers bring to life the turn-of-the-century Chellberg Farm by dressing in period clothing and tending to the daily chores of planting, harvesting, cooking, and caring for the livestock.
