Boone Trail - Boone North Carolina Hikes

Boone, a granola-inclined college town, home of Appalachian State University, is the hub of what’s called the High Country corner of northwestern North Carolina. But there are two sides to the High Country. The northernmost portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway through the region is bordered by private lands, some of it intensively developed and popular as a resort area. The southern half is again wrapped in national forest lands. Descriptions of the following trails are included: the Boone Greenway and Valle Crucis Community Park.
