Elk River: Blackberry Creek to Pacific Ocean - Brandon Oregon Whitewater Kayaking Routes

The Elk River is a small, coastal river renowned for its salmon and steelhead fisheries and its exceptional water clarity. The river responds quickly to intense winter storms. Stormfronts producing more than a couple of inches of rain raise the river to levels too high to run comfortably. The river drops quickly, however, and the Elk commonly returns to a comfortable level in only a few days.
