Elk River: Butler Creek to Fish Hatchery - Port Orford Oregon Whitewater Kayaking Routes

The Elk River is a beautiful pool drop stream. The green waters carve narrow passages beneath tall timber and large trees bridging the river. Nearly all the run can be scouted from the road. High flows last only as long as the storms producing them. Character: canyon; forested.
