Silver Fork American (Lower Run) - Kyburz California Whitewater Kayaking Routes

The Silver Fork is classic, super-steep and boulder-strewn with waterfalls up to 30 feet high and many slide rapids. Most people make 2 portages, although legend has it that everything has been run. The first portage is just below the put-in, so go high on the right. the second portage, a rocky 20-30 foot waterfall in the 400 foot mile, comes in the middle of a section of slightly more runnable waterfalls.
