South Fork Snake River Trail - Idaho Falls Idaho Mountain Bike Trails

Fetching views of the South Fork Snake River canyon with its blue-ribbon trout stream bordered by a dense cottonwood forest. Chance sightings of wildlife--especially moose, bald eagles, and osprey--are likely here. Located 51 miles east of Idaho Falls. Tread: 1.5 miles of doubletrack, 6.5 miles of singletrack. The narrow route winds along a rocky riverbank like a goat trail. It's buffed and flat in a few rare spots but is mostly technical and rutted, with loose rocks, tree roots, and super-steep pitches that will cause most to hike-a-bike.
