Cascade Lakes Highway Challenge

This spectacular route takes you into the high lakes region of central Oregon. The ride starts in Drake Park in downtown Bend and takes you on an uphill odyssey on the Cascade Lakes Highway. You’ll pass many prominent central Oregon Cascade volcanoes, including Mount Bachelor, Broken Top, South Sister, and Middle Sister. The route then swings south and takes you past many beautiful alpine lakes, including Devil’s Lake, Elk Lake, Lava Lake, and Little Lava Lake. The last section of the route takes you on paved Forest Service roads back to the Cascade Lakes Highway. An exhilarating descent back to Bend is the grand finale for this classic tour.
