This challenging ride takes you to the summit of 4,055-foot Larch Mountain, located in the Columbia River Gorge. On your way to the summit, you’ll stop at two magnificent viewpoints—Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint and Crown Point—that offer breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge. At Crown Point you’ll also have the opportunity to look inside the historic Vista House, which was built in 1917. After exploring the Vista House, you’ll pedal for 14 miles and gain 3,270 feet in elevation to the summit of Larch Mountain. At the summit you can take a 0.6 mile out-and-back hike to 4,055-foot Sherrard Point, where you can enjoy the views of Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, and Mount Jefferson.
