Portland Bridges–Tryon Creek State Park Ramble

Loop • 18.1 mi • 0 ft

This out-and-back scenic city ride begins on the east side of the Willamette River on the East Bank Esplanade. This magnificent multiuse path features many interpretive plaques, art sculptures, and a floating boardwalk. You’ll cross the Steel Bridge and pedal through popular Waterfront Park. After a short but intense passage through downtown Portland, you’ll head up shady Terwilliger Boulevard. The route stays fun until you cross Barbur Boulevard and contend with a bit of automotive congestion. After about a mile of this, you’ll turn onto a tranquil multiuse path that meanders through Tryon Creek State Park to its nature center.
