The route of this ride leads from Los Altos through residential areas of Los Altos Hills to the Stanford campus. A circuitous route through the university offers a chance to see the campus highlights and leads to a bike path for the return to Los Altos. Although there is a substantial hill along Arastradero Road, the remainder of the ride is mostly flat and suggests a leisurely pace.

Excellent lunch time sprint. I only went half way ... starting at Stanford and heading out. Directions were very clear and specific. I, unfortunately, didn't follow the key direction about which fork to take about 3 miles in, but wound up on a street road that paralled the trail for a couple of miles. Watch for the fork! Flat and very beautiful, with creekside views, a stint by a cemetary and no cars for the bike trail portion.
