Rowlett Creek Nature Preserve Trails

Loop • 10 mi • 50 ft

Oh man, this place is sweet. It’s a series of single-track loops right in the middle of a major Metromess suburb. It has something to offer riders of all skill and endurance levels. There’s enough easy stuff to ride that you never have to venture over into the technical trails. It also has enough technical trails that you never have to go over to the easy stuff if you don’t want to.

This trail is just so excellent. It is about 95% shade, winding through the woods. Great for biking or a slow walk or a fast energetic workout. There is hosed water and 2 port-a-potties, easy parking, and picnic tables. This is going to be our "go to" trail for exercise when heading to Rockwall/Dallas trips. Our children loved it. Just beautiful and peaceful.

I live nearby, so this is a gem to have close to home. Love going out here as there is everything from beginner trails to expert trails where you can die. Great upkeep. Best trail in DFW. I rate it a 3, which is basically a 5 in Texas. If you have ridden in some of the places I have in Colorado, no place in DFW is better than a 3 rating. Great trail in a great nature preserve.
