Delamar Mountain - Fawnskin California Mountain Bike Trails

This 10.5-mile loop requires a moderate amount of strength. The ascent, though only steep for the first one-half mile, is steady and 4.5 miles long. The downhill is fast and potholed, requiring good riding technique. Most of the trip is on unpaved, two-wheel-drive roads in good condition. The first one-half mile and the last two miles are on pavement. This route is an excellent introduction to mountain biking in the Big Bear Lake region. It is quite easy and takes in some great scenery. As the road winds up and around Delamar Mountain, views open up to include Big Bear Lake, the San Gorgonio Wilderness, and the San Gabriel Mountains. The roads receive good sun exposure and are often free of snow in the early spring.
