Boston Lot Lake

Loop • 5.5 mi • 300 ft

This ride's general location is Lebanon. Scenery includes semi-wooded area. The ride is convenient to Dartmouth and the interstates. New Hampshire's outpost of the Ivy League is, of course, Dartmouth College in Hanover, located in the broad valley of the Connecticut River. With New Hampshire's most famous college nearby, you knew there had to be some good mountain biking around somewhere, right? Bingo. This ride up to Boston Lot Lake utilizes some conveniently placed utility roads for a biking experience guaranteed to rid your mind of stuffy academic thoughts. (If you're not suffering from any such thoughts at the moment, feel free to ride anyway.)

Some sweet single track if you can find it. Once you're up at the lake, head to the left through the field, and down the single track there - that's the main loop and there's some decent technical stuff off of that trail. Alternatively head up to the power lines on the right on your way in for some steep climbs (or fast downhills) and you can actually drop down into the park through some of the single track on your left once you get towards the top of the power lines hill.

Please note that Tom Mowatts Bike shop is gone!! Check out Banigans 50/50 in Toms old location in Lebanon or Omer and Bobs in Hanover.
