Lamping Homestead Trail - Marietta Ohio Mountain Bike Trails

Located one and a half miles from the junction of OH 260 and OH 537, about 35 miles from Marietta. Of the traditional hiking trails in the Marietta district, this one is perhaps the easiest. It will still require good bike handling skills, though, to navigate around rocks and travel up small hillsides. This mostly dirt single-track consists of two connecting loops; one is 3.2 miles long and the other is 1.8, for a total distance of 5 miles. The elevation doesn't change more than 200 feet, but you may have to portage over some deadfall. The 3.2-mile loop is a little steeper and longer than the 1.8-mile loop. You'll even find a few stream crossings to spice things up a bit on the smaller loop, but if it hasn't rained, the beds might be dry. This is the trail for the mountain biker with good bike handling skills who wants only a dash of technical challenge and more opportunities to ride a little easier.
