Newport News Park - Newport News Virginia Mountain Bike Trails

This ride's general location is in the city of Newport News just off Interstate 64 via exit 250. Scenery is all wooded. This is a good family ride. The park offers numerous outdoor activities. This 8,000-acr park is one of the largest municipal parks in the country and offers some wooded respite from the traffic and ever-growing population of Tidewater Virginia. This is an easy ride through the woods that families and novice mountain bikers will enjoy. The trail loops through the largest natural enclave along the coastal region of Virginia, with three dozen mammals and more than 200 species of birds just waiting to say hello. This ride makes a surprisingly nice getaway to the "wilds" of Newport News.
