Porter's Pacer

This ride is east of the Madawaska River in Edmundston. This ride traces a complicated course through the hilly countryside just east of the Madawaska River in Edmundston. You will cross the Iroquois river several times along this ride, riding up and down the hills that rise above its narrow valley. The ride is ingeniously pieced together from an extensive network of ATV trails, old logging roads, and singletrack trails that are connected through a few brief stretches of pavement. The route is actually a series of three loops, connected by way of two short spurs that you will ride twice, once in each direction. The lower loop is 7.7 miles, the middle loop a short 1.7 miles, and the upper loop 5.4 miles. the spur between the lower and middle Loops crosses a snowmobile bridge over the Iroquois River and is just three-tenths of a mile long. the second spur, connecting the middle and upper loops, extends beyond a gravel pit and covers just less than 1 mile. The end result is a ride approximately 17.4 miles in length that extends through the woods between Edmundston and the town of Moulin - Morneault.
