Point Reyes National Seashore: Tomales Point Trail - Dillon Beach California Hikes

One of the premier hikes in the North Bay, this out-and-back trip over rolling terrain uses the Tomales Point Trail to reach Tomales Bluff, the northwest tip of Tomales Point. Starting from historic Pierce Point Ranch, the trail takes you through a tule-elk preserve, where sometimes you can see these magnificent creatures at close range. Exposed as this area is to the wind, this hike is best on a warm day.
