Freefall - China Indiana Mountain Bike Trails

This ride starts in China, about 5 miles northeast of Makeson on IN 62. Of the four Makison rides, this one has the toughest climb and two of the fastest descents. At the bottom of both descents are slab bridges. The first drop has two; the second drop has one. You'll be approaching them at speed, so heed all the warnings about these slippery devils. if the slab is anything but dry and whitish-gray, use extreme caution. Water or algae can bring you down and when they're both present, they're worse than ice. There are several spots along this route with great overlooks of the Ohio River valley. Take your time riding, and pause to look over your shoulder occasionally. It would be better if this were all gravel road, but the scenery is so nice, you won't mind being on pavement.
