North Pack Monadnock - Peterborough New Hampshire Hikes

A moderate climb to excellent views of the Monadnock Region. Pack Monadnock in Peterborough, Temple, and Greenfield has two main summits, North and South, both of which are just less than 2,300 feet tall. South Pack is connected to North Pack by the Wapack Trail, a 21-mile trail that starts in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, and climbs over Watatic, Barret, Kidder, and Temple Mountains on its way to the two Pack Monadnock summits. This trip starts at the northern terminus of the Wapack Trail and climbs through the Wapack National Wildlife Refuge to the undeveloped summit of North Pack Monadnock and its 360-degree views of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
