Mount Ann - Glacier Washington Backcountry Ski Trails

This tour offers easy access to unusual winter views of Mounts Shuksan and Baker, and opportunities for skiing on slopes of nearly all aspects. While Mount Ann is a reasonable day trip, it may be more rewarding as an overnighter because of all the nearby slopes begging for tracks. If you decide to make this an overnight trip, be sure to make overnight parking arrangements with the ski-area management. Mount Ann is not identified on many maps. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; permit / fee area; snowboarders must climb up to get out.
