Good casual winter boot.
This is not a boot for outdoors activities in winter. This is something that looks decent for going around your daily activities. In that context, these are good shoes boots or whatever. Im not really using these in Austin, but come in handy for being out and about in upstate NY and around ski resorts.

Solid casual boot.
Look great. Feel great. Easy on and off. Not a great snow boot due to lack of traction, but great in the cold when worn with heavy socks.

Not very warm/waterproof
The "rugged outdoor performance" portion can be left out of the ad describing these boots. They are not the least bit warm and aren't all that comfortable. Even with heavy wool socks, a 20 degree day will extend its chill to your feet.
