SOG Flash I Knife

The fast-action SOG Flash I knife sports easy, 1-handed opening along with a cool look and ergonomic feel. SOG Assisted Technology™ employs a powerful piston lock that releases easily with a sliding button. Stainless-steel blade with satin finish is partially serrated for a wide range of uses. Glass-reinforced handle features a textured, grippy surface and a low-profile pocket clip for discreet carry. The SOG Flash I knife incorporates an additional safety lock for added security when the blade is closed.

My Favorite EDC

This is my favorite Every Day Carry (I carry the straight edge, not semi-serrated) and it's on me where ever I go. I've never had to replace it although I wouldn't mind putting another one and maybe a Flash II in my collection.I'm a Summer Canoe Trail Guide and it has shown itself rust resistant and durable. The steel keeps a fine edge and the flat grind is a plus. That can sometimes be cumbersome for cutting fruit, but if you're constantly cutting fruit with a 2.5 in. blade, then what do you expect.I took it apart once to clean out the bearing, but when I took off the two plastic washers the spring mechanism held the blade into place, therefor I do not recommend taking it apart, I wasn't able to get the two washers back in, but it hasn't been an issue.I highly recommend this knife to anyone as an EDC or as a primary knife when adventuring. - Cheers
