Pretty Good
I work in golf and commute by bicycle. I've had a version of these from 2005 and keep them in my backpack. I wear them over my work pants on cold mornings and when it rains. I can usually get to work before they get "leaky". Their best benefit's are they are inexpensive, lightweight and pack small. They do have limited use. I just bought the REI rain pants for when I have to work in the rain for hours.

Polyurethane coated -- sweat like a pig
The REI on-line catalogue does NOT mention that these pants are polyurethane-coated. That is a fatal flaw, and should be prominently explained. If I want windpants for high-output aerobic travel, I don't want a urethane coating. Maybe this bad rating will make REI change the description. I didn't find out there was a PU coating till I got them in the mail.
