Help! It's raining INSIDE my car!
OK...this bag has been great. I've been driving down from Alaska and across the Top of the World Highway with all of its road dust. I've also taken it through the recent flooding rains in Alberta. In over a month, this bag has not leaked and no dust/road dirt has gotten inside. The only problem has been the wet strapping system. The bag did not fit inbetween my current Yakima racks, so I followed the directions and am securing the bag by running the straps inside the car (where they buckle over your head)instead of attaching the straps on the Yakima bars. The big problem with this is, when it rains....the strapping system siphons the water from the straps to the inside of the car making puddles everywhere. If I suspect it is going to rain at night, I either unbuckle the straps and leave them outside or unbuckle the straps and le

Great Product, Great Service
Bought this for traveling back and forth to a vacation house. It's been through more than one one downpour and has never leaked a drop. Being soft sided, it's easy to pack odd shaped items that won't fit in a hard roof rack, and the compression straps allow you to hold every thing firmly. There are a few minor issues/items to be aware of. First, It's made of HEAVY plastic material. That means it's a little difficult to hold open while getting the first few items in, before it begins to take on a shape. Also means that it gets really stiff in sub-freezing weather, which exacerbates the problem and makes it a bit difficult to mount on the car. The "flapping strap" problem others have mentioned is easily solved by the universal fix-all: duct tape.Best of all, Seattle Sports service is fantastic! I closed the door on one of the clips, which they replaced at no charge!

Bad Choice
I hate to be the one person to bash a product...I made the decision to buy this pack based on the REI reviews. I my thought was it's ugly and not very aerodynamic. But everyone seemed to like it. So I thought lets give it a try. I was looking for a 13cu unit. REI did not have any in stock. I new I wasn't going to fill it this trip so I'd give it a try. I strap it on the car and start loading it... Then realize the rear seam is ripped or never properly sealed. Either way product failed before use. With no time to get back to the store before trip decided to proceed, it made it but was a very u

Hurray for more room *inside* the car!
Bought this to use on my Jeep Liberty with a roof rack (heavy duty rack from Baja Rack), so no need for the pad or the plywood fix others have mentioned. Fits perfectly in the rack! On a recent road trip to New Mexico we loaded all the suitcases in the
