Description

SealSkinz Waterproof Gloves

The SealSkinz waterproof gloves have a low-bulk, stretchy fit for excellent dexterity. They're great for active adventures on cool, wet days. Nylon/spandex shells are rugged and stretchy for long-lasting wear and comfort. Waterproof breathable polyurethane membranes ensure your hands stay dry on snowy days; each glove is high-pressure tested to ensure it has no leaks. CoolMax® polyester lining helps wick sweat off your hands to keep them dry. Outer shells, waterproof membranes and inner wicking linings are bonded together for a low-bulk fit. Palms on the SealSkinz waterproof gloves are covered with grippy, abrasion-resistant dots for a secure hold on equipment.

They are waterproof

They are issued to those of us in the Coast Guard who are stationed where it gets cold and icy. We generally use them when we are done handling line and working on deck. I found them to work pretty well when handing wet items on the deck, but like the reviewer above said, they don't breathe at all. They warm up quickly and never cool back down. They are also pretty durable.

For low activity levels, may be?

These gloves do not breathe at all and do not wick sweat away as the description said. I poured sweat out of them after a few runs. They did seem to keep the rain out, but did not do so well when my hand got submerged in a puddle (don't ask).They are probably fine for a walk on a rainy day, but that's not what I was looking for.
