Sea to Summit X-Plate

This is a great plate. It packs down small and is super durable, and the cutting board feature is priceless. I like gourmet cooking (when possible) while out a camp, and this plate makes the difference. It is a little on the heavy side, so if your idea of backpacking is one pair of undies, a sawed off tooth brush, and a polished titanium spoon that quadruples as a signal mirror/screwdriver/tent pole, then this isn't for you.

My girlfriend and I are archaeologists and have to camp frequently for our job and for pleasure. The xplate is great because it acts as a cutting board as well as a plate. I love that they can be wiped out with a towel or napkin if water is an issue and how light and durable they are. My only complaint is that the sides are fairly unstable when fully extended. That is to be expected given the compact design. I wouldn't let it deter anyone one from buying on and in fact, I'm buying another one.
