Loved it
The main reason I bought this was to get my gear from New Jersey to Washington, but I figured since it looked likely that I would need a rain cover anyway, I decided to try this out. Out of the box I liked the heavy duty build, even though I knew it would be a bit extra to carry. All my gear, including boots and hiking poles (but not my sleeping pad - I borrowed one when I got there), fit in easily with extra room for the clothes I intended to wear at the trailhead. Zipped it up, slapped a luggage tag on and trusted it to the baggage handlers at Newark International. It survived the trip with nary a scratch and everything seemed in good order. At the trailhead it was raining, so while I was sorting gear with my trail partner, this kept my stuff out of the muck while I rearranged gear. It fit easily over my REI Flash 50 (I borrowed a Big Agnes sleeping pad that fit inside, so no worries about stuff strapped to the outside of the pack fitting in - I only had the tent foot print and fly out there). Off we went!No rain for the rest of the hike at all (3 days) so the main use I got out of this was using it to keep stuff out of the dirt and mud, but when it came time to head home it was dead easy to stuff everything in and fl

Great item!
Great item to transport large items that may not fit in a normal suitecase or when normal suitcase is not possible to take. Can carry a lot. However, it may get difficult to carry if very heavy as it has only one handle on one side and another on top.Good quality construction and material.

Awesome!
The pack converter is a great option both as a rain cover and duffel bag. The material of the bag is not only water resistant but also able to stand the roughness of airline travel. I opted to get the pack converter over just a rain cover b/c I wanted to check my pack. I've had some rips before from just checking in the bag with a rain cover. So far the pack converter has done well. One problem I have is putting back the converter within its pack size. Perhaps I need to try a few times and find a good way to fold it back in.
