Salomon Sick Stick Snowboard - 2011/2012
The Salomon Sick Stick snowboard is the pinnacle powder board! It has great flotation in powder but still holds an edge on hardpack snow. Twin shape paired with a directional flex enhances freestyle abilities and high-speed drive; centered stance lets you ride regular or switch equally well. Flat camber is best for floating and landing in powder; quadratic sidecut ensures pressure is evenly applied to the edges for easy, smooth turning. Distinctive nose and tail shape gives the board a unique look; long kick nose provides extra float in powder. Aspen Strong core places precisely selected, high-density wood strips only at the inserts and rails for maximum impact resistance and long-lasting, predictable board flex. ABC Wrapper construction uses structural bamboo veneers to reduce overall fiberglass and resin use; sidewalls are constructed out of waterproof bamboo rods. Popster core profile increases energy and converts unpredictable snap to perfectly energized pop. Sintered base is engineered for a superfast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow; sintered material provides superior wax retention. Fine stone-ground finish is particularly speedy in powder and other soft snow conditions. .
