Nice bindings
Used these bindings to ski the Kortelopet in Hayward, WI, and countless miles of groomed and ungroomed trails. Have had no problems with ice build-up, or my boots releasing as stated in a previous review. Step-in is smooth and easy, but step-out is a bit sticky. Overall, a good binding.

Good value
I have had these binding for 2 seasons now. I read the review from 2009 and, honestly, I have never experienced icing of the binding as was described. I usually ski classic and mostly on groomed but I have taken my skis off groom also and the bindings have performed the same

Working Well
I put these bindings on a new pair of skis this winter, and they have performed well. I haven't had any issues with ice, or with accidental release of my boots. I have Salomon SNS bindings on my skate skis as well, which have always been fantastic, so I was fairly confident they would work well on classic skis. The only negative is that the front release on one of the bindings was fairly sticky at first, making it difficult to click in or release my boot. Over time it has loosened up, and I'm happy with the bindings overall.

Worst binding possible
An unbelievably bad design. On anything but a perfectly groomed track, ice builds up under the back hinge every few hundred yards, making it feel like you have a marble under your foot. The only remedy is to take the ski off and clear it. Also, snow builds up under the attachment hinge, causing the ski to come loose from the boot. REI should be ashamed for selling this product.
