Excellent layering piece -- I love it
This shirt/jacket is great as a layering piece when hiking. I especially love the UPF 50. The design is fantastic: Double zipper front, vented back and side seams, roll-up sleeves, zippered pockets, and hood. The fabric is very lightweight and comfortable and it's so easy to roll up into a backpack if necessary. I ordered a size Medium (chest 36, waist 29) and it fits me perfectly with room for a tee and lightweight shirt underneath. I am very happy with this item.

Runs small
I really like the feel of this material. Its like a light weight sun / wind shirt with a hood. Nice and long for good coverage. And zippered pockets - great for carying car keys, etc. Good for slightly cool days on the trail. And UPF 50. But it runs small - I usually wear a Large in jackets and tees but this one was too tight in the bust and the hips. I'm returning it and trying an XL.
