Good gor use on factory racks and Thule
I have used these bare roof, on factory racks and on Thule. On bare roof (not preferred) they should be strapped to kayak to prevent lose (done that!). On factory rack and Thule they can be placed directly on rack. The kayak and straps keep them in place. They are a little difficult getting around the bar (which they need to be) but much less expensive then alternatives.
