Nemo Morpho Tent Review

By Beau Prichard
The NEMO Morpho AR
The Nemo Morpho is a single-wall, single-unit tent. It is packed with a small inflation pump that erects the AirSupport beams that hold the tent up instead of poles. The tent offers 40 square feet of interior space, including a 14-square-foot vestibule, and 42 inches of interior clearance. It is designed for two adults to share snugly. The tent brags a setup time of just 45 seconds, and it collapses just as quickly. The tent comes with everything necessary to set it up, including guylines, stakes, the pump and an emergency repair kit. The tent's packed weight is less than 5 lb.

Perks

This tent is well-regarded among backpackers and has been very highly reviewed. Its innovative system of using an inflatable support system instead of poles makes the tent lighter as well as stronger in the field against extreme conditions. The quick setup and collapse are great selling points, as is the low packing weight. The tent's breathable and waterproof exterior keeps condensation to a minimum.

Sacrifices

The tent has a hefty price tag, and it is difficult to find for less than $350. However, this is a competitive price with comparable tents, and you certainly get excellent value for your purchase.

Bottom Line

The Nemo Morpho is recommended by campers and experts alike for good reason. With an excellent space-to-weight ratio and easy and fast setup, this self-contained, air-supported tent is a great choice for any serious backpacker.
