A Galileo C-2060 Binocular Review

A Galileo C-2060 Binocular Review
The C-2060 binoculars are part of Galileo's Astro series, delivering clear and sharp images at far distances. They use large objective lenses and a Porro prism design that allows a field of view of 156 feet at up to 1000 yards. The Galileo C-2060 also features fully coated optics for improved glare reduction and minimum focusing distance. Rubber armoring and fold down rubber eye guards add to the durability and comfort of these binoculars. And for just $120 (in 2009) they are perfect for bird watching or checking out the full moon on a beautiful night.

Perks

The Galileo C-2060 binoculars are water resistant so they can be used in any conditions. They also feature fog proof lenses so you won't miss any of the action. Unlike many of their competitors Galileo included a tripod socket for hands free use.

Sacrifices

Due to Galileo's lens design for bright and clear images at high power, the C-2060 is bulky and heavy making them hard to carry and pack. At around 2 pounds, it will begin to hurt your neck during a days use and take up a lot of room in your pack.

Bottom Line

The Galileo C-2060 binoculars have great high powered lens but their size cause problems for hiking or backpacking. They are recommended for use with a tripod or when not having to carry for long periods.
