The Osprey Luna 85 loaded for a trip up Mount Rainier.
The Osprey Luna 85 backpack is a women's-specific pack designed for multiday backpacking trips. Weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz. with a capacity of 85 liters or 5,100 cubic inches, you will have plenty of room to carry everything you need. The backpack comes with a bio form hip belt that can be heat-molded to fit at many of the Osprey retailers. The Luna is available in multiple sizes designed for a woman's torso length. The top is a convertible lumbar pack and the bottom is a sleeping bag compartment. The pack is also equipped with two ice ax/tool loops for mountaineering or ice climbing expeditions.

Perks

The Osprey Luna 85 is made for a woman's frame and is available in sizes beginning at extra small. The suspension system allows for maximum air flow while straps are padded enough for multiday comfort.

Sacrifices

Carrying crampons with this pack can be challenging unless using a crampon bag or point protectors. The side pocket can be shallow depending on what you are carrying on the sides.

Bottom Line

The Osprey Luna 85 is an excellent choice of expedition-capacity backpack for women and offers plenty of storage room as well as smart design for the stowing of everything from technical tools to sleeping bags. Cost effective and well-designed, you will be comfortable as well as ready for the long haul.
