Coleman Max 115 Lumen Review

Coleman Max 115 Lumen Review
The Coleman Max 115 Lumen flashlight is manufactured with milled aluminum for maximum durability and minimal weight. Its 115-lumen output provides up to 66 meters of beam distance, allowing you to see far into the dark of night. The Max 115 also comes equipped with a Cree XRE LED bulb, guaranteeing a bright light beam that will never need to be replaced. The Max 115 is powered with three AAA batteries, providing 6 hours of illumination. And at 5 by 1.25 inches, it is easily carried, attached to a helmet or hat or stowed away in your pocket.

Perks

The Coleman Max 115 Lumen flashlight is sold as a multicolor lens or just plain white. The multicolor model is great for any camping or backpacking trip. The white beam has great range and illumination, while the red beam is great for night vision. The blue beam is typically used by hunters to follow blood trails. The Max 115 allows you to change beam color by simply rotating the flashlight head.

Sacrifices

The Coleman Max 115 flashlight was developed with a lightweight design, which is a nice feature but sacrifices quality. The flashlight will not last through rough use or wet conditions, so be careful when using it. Also, the Max 115 uses three AAA batteries for power, which will cost you extra money over time. Competitors, such as Streamlight, have developed flashlights similar to the Max 115 that use rechargeable lithium ion batteries.

Bottom Line

The Coleman Max 115 Lumen flashlight is a well-developed, lightweight flashlight with quality illumination capabilities. And for about $30, it is a good value for any camper or backpacker.
